In 1982, after many years as a design engineer with Stephens Adamson in Belleville, Ontario, Dave Dibben decided the time was right to venture on his own.  Dave partnered with Tony Lassing, a renowned architect and mechanical engineer to form Lassing Dibben Consulting Engineers Ltd.

In 1986, Bill Vaughan the owner of ConveyBulk Engineering and an experienced bulk material handling engineer, joined with Dave and Tony.

In 1991, the growth of the company demanded a change of scenery and the company moved into its current head office, designed by Tony Lassing, on North Murray Street in Trenton.

In 1994, anticipating retirement, Dave and Tony invited three employee engineers into the ownership group of the firm.  Harold Dibben, Thomas Coates and Al Wallis became principals of the firm and gradually, as they became more deeply involved in the management of the firm, Dave and Tony were able to retire.

With Bill Vaughan at the helm, the firm began to chart new waters and, in 1996, the firm acquired the engineering arm of J.H.A. Lassing Associates and began to offer engineering services to local industries, builders, developers and contractors.

Shortly thereafter, the ownership group was enhanced by the addition of Attila Barbacsy and Arny Hoekstra.  Attila's strong back-

ground in structural design and Arny's solid experience in building and structural design further diversified the services that Lassing Dibben is able to provide.

Through the late 1990's and into the new millennium, Lassing Dibben has been able to maintain its high standing in the bulk material handling field while offering a variety of engineering, design and management services to design-build contractors, original equipment manufacturers and end-users.

In 2005 the ownership structure again changed at Lassing Dibben as Al Wallis took his retirement after more than 4 decades in the electrical engineering field.  Gary Lewis, with a background at FMC, Sullivan Strong Scott (Strongco) and Pneuveyor joined the group to add additional expertise to the firm.

As the firm moves ahead, it continues to diversify the scope of services that it can provide to clients and the future holds only promise for the development of new markets and capabilities to enhance Lassing Dibben's position as a leading consulting engineering firm in the bulk material handling field and in building and land development.
